Southwest Portland: Two Story Addition
We seamlessly extended this family's home to add downstairs and updstairs living space!
A new room and bathroom downstairs will provide office and living space that can double as a private guest room with its own entrance and bathroom.
A full bonus room on the second floor creates social space for teenagers (and quiet downstairs space for parents!), and makes everybody happy. SLS also completely refinished this family's living room, adding a fireplace with custom tile, new finish work, paint, and flooring. We also created a beautiful new deck connecting the existing, updated living room to the brand-new addition, adding plenty of space for this family to spread out but still stay close as they grow.
A Solatube in an upstairs bathroom brings in the warmth of natural light and caused minimal upset to the living space for installation. Our homeowners were able to live in their home throughout the full duration of the project, and we pride ourselves on taking extreme care to maintain clean spaces and always leave your home in the best condition possible when the day's work is done.
SLS worked with our expert designer to ensure a seamless architecture and roof line for the added space upstairs, blending new with old and bringing this family an update to their home that is both practical for their needs today and a great investment for tomorrow. And we did all this in just a few short months!
